Annika Ottander is born 1956 and is educated at Gustavus Primus art school in Gothernburg and at University Collage of Art, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Along with her paintings she has worked with illustrations, layout and design. As a photografer and illustrator Annika has participated in various books and publications.
Annika has had exhibitions in Gothenburg at among others Gallery Majnabbe, Gallery Ohlsson and Uddenberg as well in Stockholm at Gallery Hera, The art Center of Tyresö and the Mobile Art center.
Annika lead and courses concerning different aspects of creation and creativity. She worked as a teacher in painting on the art school Nyckelviksskolan in Stockholm and has had courses on the west coast in landscape painting. For the last fifteen years, Annika has also worked with leadership development and communication.
Annika lives right by the sea at Saltarö outside Stockholm and has a summerhouse on Köpstadsö in the southern archipelago of Gotherburg.
The motives are influences from the coast ant the sea, a relationship that has grown stronger from years of longdistance sailing to forign countries. In total, Annika has spent more then eight years living on a sailingboat, traveling on the big seas.
