”For me, there are many similarities between the artistic process and sailing out towards the open sea. Seeking the unknown in front of an blank canvas, leaving port not knowing route or destination. To let go of control, to be open for impulses, to seize the oppurtunities as the come. Try new paths, find your own expression. Create space for the glimmering reflexes of the sun. Open the darkness that hides benneath the surface.
There is a frail balance between safety and challenge. To have the courage to face chaos. To have courage to navigate in shallow waters on the way to the open sea. To accept a beeing in the whirlpools of the tide, in the mercy of the ocean.”
